Preko / Cultural events

Among the most important cultural manifestations there are:

• International painters' colony "Jadertina" takes place every september in the island of Galevac near Preko;
• Gallery "Dom na žalu" - permanent exhibitions of croatian and international painters during the year.
• "Brižićevi dvori" in Preko - poetry and a cappella choirs, on the first week-end in august.
• Presentations of different theatre groups and concerts of classical music
• Performances of folklore groups in the village of Preko.

Traditional feasts in the villages are:

• Poljana: feast Petrovo by the end of June.
• Preko: Priješka Legrica by the end of August.
• Ugljan: Ugljan Feast by the end of August.
• Traditional swimming marathon Preko-Zadar by the end of August.

During summer months in all the towns there are occasional folklore groups presentations as well as live music in the evening.
